Library Tech Week 2014

March 10-14, 2014

March 10-14 is Library Technology Week (LTW) that celebrates digital collections and services libraries offer in a digital environment. New demands and expectations our customers have require libraries to shift their collections toward digital formats. Librarians modify their services and create new deliveries of information. We will use this week to promote our collection of databases, audio- and e-books.

The theme "Do It Yourself @ Your Library" (YALSA) recognizes creativity as a highest level of learning objectives.
We invite students to share their digital projects and submit the best works for a contest.

Other activities:

  • QR Code Scavenger Hunt: Students and teachers are invited to the library to read QR codes using our iPads and discover library materials. Find them! They are hidden around the library and Middle School!
  • Recommend a book via our Library Catalog
  • Have fun seeing a robot created by the Robotics crew in action during your lunchtime (11:30 - 1:30), Monday – Thursday.
  • Vote for your favorite technology.
  • Watch teachers and students using technology in class.
